Hi, I've got Kawasaki VN750 Trike (see attached). It is a hardtail which gives a bumpy old ride. I have changed the rear tyres from 205/45/16 to 205/55/16 which has increased the side wall depth of the tyres by 21mm thereby giving me more 'suspension travel' I run 12 psi when solo & 15 with a pillion. I have also fitted a VN900 seat which is more comfortable as it is thicker and has little rubber 'door stops' between the seat and frame. However 'er indoors is still not happy with the ride. To be honest it is still harsh! I've seen people on here have used a bicycle coil over shock absorber and a pivot frame work but this is on two seperate seats. I want to 'suspend' the whole of the double saddle to achieve the same effect. I'm thinking some sort of tube & rod guide assemblies for the seat to move up & down in with a couple of shockers controlling the movement, one at each end of the seat. I would be able to adjust the coil overs 'tighter' when I have a pillion Has anyone done this mod or could you offer some (useful) advice? Attachments:
